the Nokia 8800 Arte is an impressive looking model. It's nice and heavy, with a good solid feel - made from the finest smoked glass and metals. The phone offers shutter over the keys, and when closed it makes the phone look classy. The mix of black metal and chrome makes this phone look a million pounds.

Two softkeys which light up when the phone is on offer a nice extra design element to the phone, with a decent sized keypad that feels comfortable to use.

The 8800 Arte features a 3.2 megapixel camera slapped on the sparse, but clean, back of the phone. There is also 1GB of storage space inside the phone, which is plenty for keeping hundreds of photos. There is, however, no extra memory slot to stick in additional memory - which is a let down.

The Music player is decent, but the sound quality isn't. The phone doesn't come with any headphones, and there is no slot on the phone to insert your own - so you're forced to listen through loud-speaker - another big let down.

Finally, the battery life is weak, which is the final straw that broke the camels back
